Closing Some things reach out from the soil & Artist Stalk #1

June 20, 7PM, Bastion 3, Hector 1, Timișoara

June 20 marks both an ending and a beginning at Indecis. We’re wrapping up the group exhibition Some things reach out from the soil, but also launching a new series of recurring conversations: Artist Stalk – informal gatherings with no script, where the questions don’t circle around artworks, but the inner world of the people who made them.

The first one happens this Friday at 7PM, with guests Ana Kun, Gavril Pop and Sergiu Sas – three artists from the current show and long-time collaborators of the local scene.

When you meet someone for the first time, the conversation often starts with something clumsy: “So, what do you do?”
Now imagine meeting an artist – someone who might not even tell you what they “do,” exactly.

So what do artists talk about when they’re not talking about themselves? That’s what we want to find out. It might be a book they’ve just read. A song that’s been looping in their head. A strange dream that stuck. Another artist they keep coming back to. A piece of news that won’t leave them alone. Or something else entirely.

Artist Stalk is a space for conversations about anything but one’s own practice – a way of shifting the focus, of getting closer to the person behind the title, and tuning in to what they’re thinking, feeling, and noticing in the world.

Free entry, open minds. See you there?
