For our first gathering in Indecis Studio, we’re starting with the mysterious art of tarot.
Tarot has lived many lives and has been read in many ways: as a game, an oracle, a tool for divination, an archive of symbols, a cast of characters, a mirror for fears, desires and questions.
Even if you don’t read tarot, you probably recognise its images: The Sun, The Moon, The Magician, The Lovers, Death, Strength. They already belong to a shared visual language. And because they are so familiar, they can also be taken apart, redrawn, renamed, remixed and imagined differently.
At Tarot DIY, we’ll start with a few well-known cards from the major arcana. We’ll look at their symbols and how their images are built, then use drawing, collage, text and mixed media to make our own versions — or invent new cards altogether.
You’ll leave with a few handmade tarot cards, or with the beginning of your very own personal deck.
You don’t need to know tarot, and you definitely don’t need to know how to draw. You can rework an existing card or create one that feels missing from the deck. What would The Wheel of Fortune look like if you drew it? What about The Lovers, The Tower, or The Moon? What card would you make for today’s fear, for a desire you can’t quite name, for a decision you keep postponing, for something that broke, or for a superstition you can’t get rid of?

🫰🫶🫵 Come with curiosity, no pressure, and no need to already know what you’re doing. We’ll sit around the same table and take it from there.

If you can no longer come, you can send someone else in your place, as long as you let us know beforehand. The participation fee is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another workshop.
